Shred It

I keep reading all of these blogs about you dedicated people competing to lose weight, and I must say that I am impressed. I was on a good schedule of going to the gym 3 days a week, then I got a cold that lingered for about three weeks, which pushed me right out of my gym rhythm. But now I'm feeling better, so it's time to get back into the groove. Thanks for the inspiration!
I bought a workout video a while back called 30 Day Shred, by Jillian Michaels. I don't watch The Biggest Loser, but I guess she's one of the trainers. It's a great video because it's only a 20 minute workout, but really works everything. It uses the circuit method with 3 minutes of strength, 2 minutes of cardio, then 1 minute of abs. Plus, there are three levels, so once you get good at level one, you can move up to level two and it's a whole new challenging workout. I've done it sporadically since I bought it, and finally did level two yesterday, and I am sore today! Anyway, if you are looking for a great quick workout, I highly recommend it.

On another note, I'm so glad that Tropical Storm Fay is gone. Not only did I not get a day off from work, but it was ridiculously busy at DisneyQuest all week. Everyone wanted to do something indoors since the weather was so nasty. What I don't get is how the guests got so pissy about us being busy, as though nobody would think to come inside. Oh well. Thankfully it's getting to a slower time of year! Here's one good thing that came of T.S. Fay - a great gathering at my place. Since my roomies are teachers and they had the day off, we invited another teacher friend Clint over and drank hurricanes and did makeovers. We all looked super glamorous.
